Sapphire Hiraeth has won two awards at the Peach Festival hosted by the Doss Heritage Museum and the Weatherford Art Association! Honorable Mention and People's Choice!

This absolutely gorgeous piece will never be captured properly by the camera.  Hiraeth (pronounced her-EYE-eth) is a Welsh word and the closest meaning in English is homesickness for a home to which you cannot return, or for a home that may have never been.

Sapphire Hiraeth is a breathtaking resin painting that captures the beauty of a geode with its stunning 3D resin crystals. The artist has used a mix of vibrant blue and azo gold to create an otherworldly effect that draws the viewer in.

The painting's central focus is the geode-inspired structure, which appears to be bursting with life. The 3D resin crystals in shades of blue rise from the painting's surface, mimicking the natural formations found in geodes. The crystals appear to grow and overlap, creating an intricate web of colors and textures.

The blue and gold hues used in the painting are reminiscent of shimmering sapphires and glistening gold, adding to the artwork's mesmerizing effect. The colors blend seamlessly together, creating an almost ethereal effect that seems to glow from within.

The title of the painting, Sapphire Hiraeth, speaks to the longing and nostalgia that the piece evokes. The viewer may feel transported to another world, as if gazing into a crystal-filled cave or exploring a hidden geode.

Overall, Sapphire Hiraeth is a stunning example of resin art that combines vibrant colors, intricate textures, and a sense of wonder and nostalgia. The painting is sure to captivate and inspire all who view it, leaving a lasting impression on the viewer's mind.
